Walker Beer forges strong city links < back to News & Publications

Walker Beer Solicitors + Conveyancers have recently forged an association with the Sydney city firm, Carneys Lawyers. The Martin Place firm, which has operated since 1964, was impressed with the new direction that Walker Beer Solicitors + Conveyancers had undertaken since Alice Weinthal and Stacey Thibault recently purchased the practice.

"For Carneys, it means forming a relationship with a respected firm that has been part of the Gunnedah community for many years," Arthur Carney, principal of Carneys Lawyers and accredited specialist in commercial litigation, said. "We see Gunnedah as a growing regional centre, with a demand for the specialist litigation expertise that our firm offers in the areas of Personal Injury, Motor Vehicle accidents, Aviation Law and Commercial litigation."

Arthur Carney expressed his enthusiasm to be teaming up with Walker Beer Solicitors + Conveyancers. "We are really impressed with Alice and Stacey [the directors of the firm].  They are not only mothers who are active members of the Gunnedah community, but they are focussed on providing a consistently excellent service to their clients."

Carney continues:  "In the firm we have two solicitors who are accredited specialists in Personal Injury Law, one solicitor who is an accredited specialist in Aviation Law and two solicitors who are accredited specialists in Commercial Litigation.

"I think our firm strengths complement Walker Beer Solicitors + Conveyancers which has an impressive Property, Will and Probate practice."

The arrangement will also see Sydney-based Gunnedah-local, George Hoddle maintain his connection with the area he grew up in.

"I have been working with Carneys for around three years in the areas of commercial litigation and personal injury and I am very pleased to be able to maintain a link to my home town, as well as have the opportunity to work with both Alice and Stacey.  It will be a great reason to get home more often."

Since taking on the business back in November 2010, Alice and Stacey have been delighted with the support from the Gunnedah community. "Stacey, Alan and I have been incredibly busy," Alice Weinthal said.

"In order to further service our clients in wider areas of law, we are happy to be able to team up with a well established city firm that is strong in the areas of personal injury and commercial litigation.  I think it is a really exciting development for our firm."

Arthur Carney, Peter O'Grady and George Hoddle plan to attend the offices of Walker Beer Solicitors + Conveyancers within the next few weeks.
